MediaFunnel Announces Tools to Control Social Media Publishing
MediaFunnel has announced the availability of its new “Tweet-to-Lead” feature that adds Salesforce.com integration to Twitter, along with “Guest Tweet,” its innovative tweeting convention that opens an organization’s Twitter stream to outside contributors.
These new features, exclusive to MediaFunnel, add further functionality to its already comprehensive service that gives companies control of their social media group publishing efforts.
MediaFunnel manages the workflow for companies eager to engage more people in creating content for their social media sites. Multiple users, designated as administrators, publishers or contributors and identified by cotags, can monitor and feed one or more Twitter accounts. MediaFunnel’s unique, business-critical editorial review process means administrators can approve, reject or edit tweets before they are published, easing brand and compliance concerns.
Businesses using Twitter to engage with their customers can also employ MediaFunnel’s “tweet assignment” feature to ensure prompt handling of any tweets that mention their company or require action. Other core features also include options for immediate, scheduled or interval tweet publishing; search and alerts for brand monitoring; ability to submit tweets by email, SMS or texting; and analytics to better manage social media investment.
“MediaFunnel’s workflow for managing a corporate social networking presence is well thought out and effective,” said Mark Gibbs, NetworkWorld contributor, technology blogger and author. “It supports multiuser ‘collaborative tweeting’ wrapped in a simple, managed publishing system. If you plan to make any serious use of Twitter for business or brand strategy, MediaFunnel is excellent and well worth considering.”
Its “Tweet-to-Lead” is an easy-to-use service that integrates Twitter with Salesforce, simplifying the addition of new leads to Salesforce.com from the microblogging platform. Upon generating results from a new or saved search, clicking on the Salesforce Icon next to a specific tweet opens a window showing Salesforce.com fields populated with contact information, time zone, most recent tweet and other details. One simply clicks on the “Tweet-to-Lead” button to submit to Salesforce.com.
“Guest Tweet” gives those outside an organization, corporation or other group the opportunity to post within that entity’s official Twitter stream. A non-profit’s Twitter stream, for example, could include Guest Tweets posted by supporters, beneficiaries or donors, or a radio station’s listeners could post as Guest Tweeters.
“Tweet-to-Lead makes it simple to assign identified leads from within Twitter to Salesforce,” said Andreas Wilkens, MediaFunnel Co-Founder. “And we’re proud to introduce the new tweeting convention, ‘GT’, which identifies when a tweet is from someone outside the company. We added the Guest Tweet widget to our site just a few weeks ago, and are amazed by the sheer volume and relevant, real-time posts from our Guest Tweeters.”
