RCC’s Patsy Jackson to Participate in Community Leadership Development
River Cities Courier is pleased to announce that Patsy Jackson will be participating in the upcoming 8-week Community Leadership Program, sponsored by the Ashland Alliance.
Since 1979, the Community Leadership Development (CLD) program has been growing leaders in our community. The development program consists of eight weeks, meeting once a week covering topics which include advocacy, healthcare, local history, education, industry, government and leadership.
The goals of the program include:
- Developing leadership skills that can be used in our community.
- Developing a better informed citizenry.
- Providing a unique networking opportunity for area business people.
- Promoting community pride.
- Promoting a sense of civic responsibility amongst business leaders.
- Fostering potential volunteers and support for the Alliance and local non-profit agencies.
RCC President Jason McGuire explained, “I participated in the program last year, and found it was a very worthwhile way to give back to my community. I’m excited for Patsy to have an opportunity to participate in the program this year.”
